Step 1. Edit the email template

If you'd like to customize the email template, please navigate to Settings, select Email from the left-side menu and the click on Customize under the Email Template card.

Step 2. Customize your branding

You can upload your store's logo and modify the button background and text color to match the colors of your brand.

Step 3. Variables you can use

When you edit the subject line, greeting and body, you can use the following variables to personalize them:

  • {{order_name}} - order name (e.g. 1234)

  • {{customer_first_name}} - customer's first name (e.g. Jane)

  • {{customer_last_name}} - customer's last name (e.g. Doe)

  • {{customer_full_name}} - customer's full name (e.g. Jane Doe)

  • {{customer_email}} - customer's email (e.g. [email protected])

For example, setting the greeting to Hello {{customer_first_name}} will be displayed as Hello Jane if the customer's name is Jane.

Step 4. Subject

You can tweak the subject line to use your preferred words, as well as any of the variables mentioned at Step 3.

The default subject is "Download your content for order #{{order_name}}" - where {{order_name}} is automatically be replaced with the correct order identifier.

Step 5. Email content

You can also tweak any of the text in the email, including the:

  • greeting

  • body

  • button text

  • product list header

  • thank you text

  • thank you signature

  • footer

You can also use the variables mentioned at Step 3 in the greeting and the body.

Step 6. Hide FileJar's branding

If you're on a paid plan, you can uncheck the option "Show Powered By FileJar" to hide FileJar's branding from the emails being sent to your customers.

If you're on the free plan, this option can't be changed - FileJar's branding is shown by default.
